ADA attends COAG Meeting
In May, the ADA attended the COAG Industry and Skills Council along with other heads of industry and peak bodies to discuss industry and skills policy.
CEO Jo Kellock had the opportunity in the open forum session to speak to the panel, which included the Federal Minister for Industry and Science, Ian Macfarlane, as well as State Ministers for Industry and representatives from the Government of New Zealand. Kellock thanked Minister Macfarlane for the opportunity to attend the meeting, and argued that design has an important role to play in the formulation of industry and innovation policies. The Ministers were also asked to allow greater representation from the sector as part of the decision-making process.
