Geelong named a UNESCO City of Design

It’s where the ute was born, and mechanical refrigeration was pioneered. Geelong’s design credentials have been internationally recognised with the city being designated as a UNESCO City of Design.

Announced in Paris on October 31, Geelong was one of 64 international cites to be inducted into the UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network.

The AdA was proud to have been given the opportunity to provide a letter of support to the bid put together by the City of Greater Geelong, Deakin University, ACID and Creative Victoria.
