Field Technician III

Location : Greenfield, IN / Indianapolis, IN / Savannah, GA

Duration : Fulltime Direct Hire

Pay Range : $28.65 - $40/hourly, final negotiations held by hiring manager directly after interview.

Shift :

• Greenfield, IN / Indianapolis, IN : (2nd shift 3pm to 1:30am Monday – Thursday) / (Weekend shift : Fri – Sun - 6:00am – 6:30pm)
• Savannah, GA : (1st shift 6:30am - 3pm or 2nd shift 3pm - 12:30am)

Description:

As the field technician III, you will join our team of technicians based in Greenfield, IN / Indianapolis, IN / Savannah, GA supporting business and civil large aviation customers in our repair station shop. In this role you will provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on aircraft engines and you will work varying shifts and travel domestically and internationally up to 40%. This role will have occasional on-call weekends once a month..

Job Duties:

• Comply with work scope instructions as directed by our Maintenance Operations Control
• Disassemble, clean, re-assemble and repair engines and modules
• Must be able to obtain and maintain repair station inspection approvals
• Ability to lift up to approximately 50 pounds and pass a required eye exam
• Use troubleshooting logic to identify defects in component or parts and access / use engine data materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.
• Understand; interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives and Technical Variances when applicable

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul
• FAA Airframe & Power Plant License

Preferred Skills:

• Prior Gas turbine engine experience
• Customer relations experience
• Engine or Aircraft logbook familiarity
• Prior FAR145 repair station experience
• Understanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionality
