Summary:

The Assistant Director of Technology plays a key role in supporting the school's educational mission by leading and managing the effective utilization of technology. This is a dynamic and collaborative position that requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of educational technology trends, and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for all students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Work in conjunction with the Director of Technology
    • Provide support and guidance to the technology team in the implementation and maintenance of school technology systems and infrastructure.
    • Assist in developing and implementing a strategic technology plan aligned with the school's educational goals.
    • Manage technology support services for staff and students.
  • Instructional Technology:
    • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate technology into curriculum and instruction.
    • Provide professional development opportunities for staff on the use of educational technology tools and resources.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing technology programs and recommend improvements.
  • Infrastructure and Systems:
    • Manage the school's network and security systems.
    • Troubleshoot technical problems and provide user support.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, parents, and students, about technology initiatives and policies.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure technology is used effectively throughout the school.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a school technology setting.
  • Strong understanding of current educational technology trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and manage technology projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
