We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team at Maple Ridge Grocer! As a Baker, you will play a key role in creating delicious baked goods that delight our customers and contribute to the success of Maple Ridge. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and desserts following established recipes and techniques
• Ensure the consistent quality and freshness of all baked goods
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate and plan daily production needs
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to meet production requirements
• Assist in developing and testing new recipes to expand our menu
• Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations in baking techniques and ingredients

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Baker in a similar role
• Knowledge of baking techniques, including mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking
• Familiarity with various types of flour, ingredients, and their properties
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Food Handler's Certification
