Job Title: Banquet Server
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our catering team as
a Banquet Server. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a pleasant
dining experience to our guests during various events such as weddings, business
conferences, and other special occasions. This position requires a commitment to
excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a
fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Setup and Preparation: Assist in the setup of the event space, including the
arrangement of tables, chairs, and the buffet area. Ensure that all necessary
supplies, such as linens, silverware, glassware, etc. are clean and properly
arranged.
● Food and Beverage Service: Serve guests courteously and efficiently, with a
focus on maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. Tend to the buffet,
ensuring that food is replenished promptly and that the presentation remains
appealing throughout the event. Serve plated dinners to guests as required, and
assist in the serving of beverages, including alcoholic drinks, adhering to all
applicable laws and regulations.
● Bussing Tables: Clear tables promptly after use to maintain a clean and
organized dining area. Be attentive to guests' needs for additional services such
as refills or extra utensils. Ensure that all used tableware, utensils, and glassware
are properly taken to the designated areas for cleaning.
● Event Breakdown: Participate in the cleaning and breakdown of the event
space at the conclusion of the event. This includes the proper storage of
equipment, disposal of trash, and ensuring that the venue is returned to its
original state.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience as a server, waiter, or in a similar role is preferred but not
required.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
● Must be able to stand and move for an extended period.
● Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
● Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
