Bartender – The Alden
Location: 5070 Peachtree Blvd, Suite B-140, Chamblee, GA
Reports to: Chef/Owner and Front of House Manager
The Alden is an elevated casual restaurant located in the heart of Chamblee. We take pride in offering a refined yet approachable dining experience built around creative, chef-driven cuisine, a curated beverage program, and genuine hospitality. Our bar is a central part of the guest experience, designed for both craft and comfort.
Position SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences through professional, engaging service and a thoughtful approach to beverage execution. This role requires strong cocktail knowledge, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work cohesively within a team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys curating guest experiences, and maintains composure in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesProvide warm, professional, and attentive service to guests at the bar and in the dining room.
Prepare and execute cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to The Alden’s specifications.
Maintain complete knowledge of the bar menu, seasonal features, and pairing recommendations.
Assist in beverage menu development, inventory, and organization.
Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
Uphold standards for responsible alcohol service in compliance with Georgia state laws.
Support the FOH team with pre-shift setup, service, and closing duties.
Communicate effectively with management, kitchen, and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain an elevated yet relaxed demeanor that aligns with The Alden’s guest experience.
Minimum 5 years of bartending experience in a full-service or upscale restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, wine, and spirits.
Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to provide genuine hospitality and anticipate guest needs.
Must be 21 years of age or older with valid pour license (if applicable).
ServSafe Alcohol or similar certification preferred.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Hourly rate plus tips (based on experience and performance).
