About the Role:
One of our leading clients is seeking a highly skilled BMS (Building Management System) Engineer to join their team in New York City. This position involves the design, installation, and maintenance of advanced building automation systems aimed at optimizing energy efficiency and ensuring the seamless operation of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in building controls and automation, with a strong background in HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement BMS systems tailored to the unique needs of commercial buildings.
- Integrate and configure HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems to maximize building performance.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot complex issues, and conduct repairs to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct site surveys to evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure project success.
- Provide technical support and training to building staff and clients on system operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in BMS design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting controls, and energy management systems.
- Proficiency in BMS software and programming (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
