Cabinet Maker & Installer

 

Evolve Transporters is a high-end custom fabrication company with locations in greater Indianapolis, IN and Cleveland, OH. Our clients are some of the biggest motorsport teams and brands in the world, for which we assist in designing and fabricating race transporters. We have a sharp focus on client satisfaction and a desire for continued innovation.

 

This position reports to: Cabinet Shop Foreman

Location: Painesville, OH

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:

Our Cabinet Makers work on both the new build process and refurbishment process for client transporters. This position will build, laminate and install cabinets, furniture, walls and other similar items according to plan drawings and Foremen direction. This position is key when ensuring the final interior of the transporter is exactly to client specifications.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reading and understanding provided plan drawings.
  • Taking accurate measurements and calculating the size and amount of material required.
  • Maintain an overall focus on quality fit and finish.
  • Laminating cabinets and panels and finish filing.
  • Build and install all cabinetry in new and refurbished transporters.
  • Accurately log time to the correct project.
  • Complete all other related tasks as assigned.
  • Housekeeping and other shop-related duties as assigned.

TOP SKILLS:

  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent knowledge of cabinetry installation, assembly and finishing procedures
  • Proficient in using power tools, manual tools, measuring tools and other equipment (table saws, sanders, tape measure, etc.)
  • Router experience is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong view on following safety guidelines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to work under stress and maintain tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in shop settings for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, off ladders and moderate heights.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in woodworking, cabinetry or finish carpentry
