Job Description

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer for an opening with our industrial engineering client. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, or related field) and proficiency in design software, including CAD tools, simulation, and analysis software. You will work in both 2D and 3D environments to create detailed drawings and models for new parts and products.

Essential Duties

Produce rough sketches and detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for new parts and assemblies 

Use CAD software to create technical designs that meet project specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and functionality.

Clearly explain technical aspects of designs to sales and marketing teams, as well as clients.

Work with engineering and production teams to ensure that designs meet project and manufacturing requirements.

Support the development of simulation and analysis models as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related field a plus

Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and experience with simulation and analysis software.

Ability to work in both 2D and 3D environments.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both internal teams and clients.

Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

Experience with manufacturing and production processes.

Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and design methodologies.
