Bilingual Carpenter

Universal Furniture Design, a premier custom furniture manufacturer in Las Vegas, is seeking an experienced Bilingual Carpenter to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret design drawings, specs, and CAD files to construct and finish custom furniture pieces and fixtures

- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials like wood, plastic, metal alloys using hand and power tools

- Smooth surfaces and shape parts using sanders, chisels, planes, and other equipment

- Check completed units for proper assembly, form, alignment, measurements, and finishes

- Install hardware like hinges, handles, locks brackets using drills, screwdrivers, and other installation tools

- Identify maintenance and repair needs for equipment and tools as required

- Maintain clean and orderly workspaces and workshops

- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

- Communicate effectively with managers, designers and other trades in English and Spanish

- Other carpentry duties as assigned

Requirements:

- 3+ years’ experience in finish carpentry required

- CNC experience is a plus, but not required

- Expertise with woodworking tools and machinery

- Accuracy and attention to detail in measurements and cuts

- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and documents

- Basic math and geometry skills

- Physical stamina and mobility for standing, climbing, lifting

- Fluency in spoken English and Spanish

- OSHA 10 safety certification a plus
