We're Hiring: CCTV / Access Control / Nurse Call Technician

📍 Location: Schaumburg, IL

💵 Salary Range: $54,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)

Nexus Communications Technology is seeking a skilled field technician to join our integration team working across healthcare, hospitality, and commercial sectors. • Install, configure, and support IP CCTV (Ubiquiti Protect) , Access Control , and Nurse Call Systems (Jeron Provider 700/790, RCARE).
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT6, fiber), with a focus on clean, code-compliant workmanship.
• Program and test integrated systems, perform customer walkthroughs, and complete documentation for handoff.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, field leads, and clients for seamless execution.

• 3+ years of field experience in CCTV, access control, and nurse call systems .
• Proficient in Ubiquiti Unifi systems (Protect and general networking).
• Experience with structured cabling, PoE systems, and low-voltage best practices.
• Ability to work flexible schedules (40–45 hour work weeks).
• Available for regional travel up to 33% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

• BICSI certification (Installer or Technician level) – highly preferred
• Experience with Jeron programming software and nurse call configuration
• OSHA 10/30, manufacturer or vendor-specific training a plus
• Familiarity with System Surveyor, SimPRO, or similar field ops tools
