Job Summary

The Company Store Clerk will assist the Company Store Manager in executing store operation. The general responsibilities include offering customers a unique shopping experience, driving sales results, maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment, and to always delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Functions

  • Engage customers and recommend merchandise based on individual needs and wants
  • Be knowledgeable and educate customers on product information and Company history
  • Process payment using POS System
  • Contribute to team by accomplish sales goals
  • Assist in display of merchandise
  • Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so employees can locate resources and product as need
  • Identify, respond to and solve problems and concerns raised by customers
  • Follow operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety and security/loss prevention
  • Support company Store Management with special projects and workflow process improvements
  • Assist Company Store Management in creating social media content to drive brand awareness and attract new customers
  • Build rapport with customers, colleagues, vendors, and local organizations
  • Represent S. Martinelli & Company at special events
  • Able to work weekends and other special events
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned by Management

Job Qualifications

  • Engaging, friendly, approachable personality
  • Possess good English language oral, written, and interpersonal communication and team building skills
  • Possess intermediate to strong mathematical, PC and Microsoft Office Work and Excel skills
  • Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor
  • Ability t pay attention to detail, work a rapid-place work environment, and handle multiple task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use discretion in providing direction to others
  • Ability to trouble shoot common POS systems
  • Ability to treat sensitive information in a sensitive manner
  • Ability to uphold Company ethical and cultural standards
  • Ability to manage multiple customers at one time

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with peaks in seasonal demands in a retail or tasting room environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
