* Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 10 months per year

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Clerk Typist I will perform entry-level general office-clerical duties in schools and central administrative offices.

Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to high school graduation.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Typing/keyboarding certificate at a net, corrected speed of 25 words per minute.
* This classification requires that incumbents be skilled in typing/keyboarding at a minimum of 25 words per minute. Applicants must certify in writing that they have such skills. Demonstrated proficiency will be expected during the probationary period for the class.
EXAMINATION PROCESS

* Please note that general or occasional Substitute Experience is not included when determining if a candidate has met the minimum qualifications for the position.
* Individuals working in related, specific, LONG-TERM substitute assignments of substantial hours per week must specify each separate long-term assignment in their work history in order for this experience to POSSIBLY count towards meeting the minimum qualifications.
* This information must include an approximate start date, end date (where applicable), specific site, job title, hours per week, and job duties performed for each long-term assignment.
* Answer all supplemental questions
* The supplemental questions should be answered thoroughly, clearly and concisely as the responses provided (along with the entire application package) will be carefully reviewed to determine which candidates will move forward in the recruitment process.
* Attach proof of education
* Education, training, or certifications will only be considered if acceptable documentation is attached
* Photocopy of Degree or
* Photocopy of OFFICIAL transcript
* Photocopy of Licenses and/or Certifications
