Job Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineering Manager in Independence, Ohio, United States. In this role, you will be handling the management and optimization of our cloud infrastructure, collaborating with various teams to develop a comprehensive cloud strategy, and leading a team of cloud engineers and administrators.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize the organization's cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and security of the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization's cloud environment remains cutting-edge.
• Oversee the deployment and configuration of applications and services on cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain automation processes to streamline operational tasks.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards in the cloud environment.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Monitor cloud resource usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and control cloud-related expenses.
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and administrators and foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
• Provide technical expertise and support for complex cloud-related issues and collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in AWS Technologies is required
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code is required
• Experience with PaaS is necessary
• Must have experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with YAML is expected
• Must have skills in Ansible
• Proficiency in Terraform is required
• Demonstrable experience in scripting languages is necessary
• Excellent leadership and team management skills are required
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically are expected
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies would be advantageous
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles is necessary
• Experience in cloud automation and orchestration is required
• Must be able to develop and implement cloud strategy and coordinate adoption across the organization.
