Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the accounting department, which includes three staff accountants:

 
  • Lead, support, and motivate the accounting team to complete month-end close in six (6) business days, including entries for all cash and line of credit, posting of customer invoices (prepared by the Revenue Cycle Team), inventory, amortization of prepaids and goodwill, depreciation of fixed assets and right of use finance leases, accounts payable, credit cards, accrued liabilities, debt, lease liabilities, payroll, insurances, allocations, management fees, and taxes.
  • Lead the daily Finance Team calls, prepare quarterly reviews and goals,
  • Manage the AP function and all vendor payments via ACH or credit card.
  • Maintain Oracle NetSuite Fixed Assets Module (FAM) including acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation of fixed assets and capitalized finance leases.
  • Prepare the annual budget for all legal entities by department in September.
  • Directly manage every aspect of the accounting integration for all new acquisitions.
  • Own and direct the Miller Cooper year-end Review, annual bank field exam, insurance audits, income tax planning and returns, and all other taxes (e.g., personal property, revenue-based, etc.).
  • Oversee preparation of monthly reporting package and directly prepare the quarterly Board Book.
  • Work closely with all departmental managers to drive profitable growth through automation, improved business processes, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.


Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • “Type A” self-motivated, creative out-of-the-box thinker that naturally pushes to constantly improve systems and processes
  • ADVANCED EXCEL SKILLS
  • Oracle NetSuite experience is a strong plus
  • Attention to detail and amazing organizational skills
  • Able to work independently as well as a member of our team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Multi-state/legal entities experience is a plus
  • CPA (or CPA Track) is strongly preferred.
