Job Description Summary/objective Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Corporate AR Specialist-Level II is a key member of the Corporate Accounts Receivable team responsible for efficiently processing customer payments and providing all aspects of customer service to an extensive group of accounts receivable customers. - Provide independent judgment in creating and selecting strategies to determine appropriate action related to Accounts Receivable.
- Recognize, research, and recommend resolution of moderate to complex work assignments; support Accounts Receivable Manager with reporting and researching complex situations.
- Identify issues preventing collections and communicate with appropriate departments.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and oversight of processes to ensure process quality and financial accounting system integrity.
- Manage accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Research and perform account maintenance for internal and external inquiries related to payment applications (including reversal of payments, posting payments, and write-offs).
- Process daily deposit activity (ACHs, wires, checks) in collaboration with the rest of the Accounts Receivable team, including posting deposits against customer receivables and researching unapplied deposits.
- Work within third party payment portals to ensure all invoices have been submitted to external customers both accurately and timely, meeting all customer requirements.
- Assist customers with account reconciliation questions and discrepancies as needed.
- Contact customers as necessary to verify accuracy of accounts and coordinates changes where necessary to expedite collection activity.
- Provide customer statements monthly and other times as needed.
- Manage accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Maintain ongoing complete records of all communications with customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience - Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Required
o Associate's degree or Bachelor of Science Degree (Business); Preferred
o A minimum of five years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist; Required
o Accounts Receivable experience for an organization with at least 500 employees; Preferred
o High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
