Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications, the Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for both internal and external communications strategies and execution, ensuring alignment with HARIBO’s mission, vision, and values. This includes create and execute channels (company meetings, newsletters, internal videos, etc.), crisis management, community affairs, media relations, and social media content. The Corporate Communications Manager will help the Corporate Communications function execute the critical and broad strategic plans that enable business growth by informing and engaging Associates, driving brand awareness, and building and protecting HARIBO’s corporate reputation. This position is based out of corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL.

Responsibilities
- Execute internal communication strategy to ensure alignment of messaging across all levels and locations of the organization.
- Create/oversee compelling content for strategic communication channels including internet, intranet, storytelling, leadership messaging, email communication, in-person meetings, digital materials, social media and customer communication as needed.
- Manage Town Hall meetings and Associate events to inform, engage and inspire Associates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create cohesive business messaging and ensure Associates are seen and heard.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication platforms in all HARIBO U.S. locations.
- Support the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications with external communications as needed: press release review, video script crafting/editing, reporting and analysis, etc.
- Support with thought leadership and community affairs strategy including mining for executive speaking opportunities and planning/executing accordingly.
- Support community affairs events as needed (drafting remarks, liaising with partners, securing mascot, managing invoices, securing product samples/managing delivery), etc.
- Support brand trade shows (Sweets & Snacks, NACS) with messaging and support the Corporate Communications Director with media opportunities coordination.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives using key performance indicators and analytics tools.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on communication activities and outcomes.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Communications.
- MS Office Suite knowledge is required (Intermediate); particularly Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experienced in content creation and copywriting is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience is preferred.
- Previous crisis communication experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong experience in data analytics with ability to define your success.
Skills
- Ability handle pressure and confident in being able to execute and resolve.
- Ability to translate complex data and make it comprehensible for all audiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (including strong presentation skills), analytical ability, independent decision making, and results driven.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
