The Analyst Technical Writer will support the Headquarters Office of Security by coordinating and tracking security-related projects, preparing documentation and executive-level materials, and supporting security programs across operating agencies. This role combines project coordination, reporting, and technical documentation in support of physical security initiatives, systems, and policies.
This is not a pure writing role . The position requires strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills with exposure to physical security technologies and program support.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and coordinate multiple security projects and initiatives , tracking scope, milestones, risks, and deliverables
Monitor and track project budgets , expenditures, and funding alignment; assist with financial and status reporting
Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials for senior leadership
Assist in maintaining and developing security program documentation , policies, procedures, and standards
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, Procurement, Legal, and Operating Agencies
Support physical security programs involving CCTV, video management systems, access control, deployable cameras, and related technologies
Assist with maintaining security video libraries, incident documentation, and operational reporting
Conduct research and assessments of emerging security technologies and vendors , including AI-enabled surveillance tools
Track performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on project status and outcomes
Support special security initiatives and tactical programs as required
1 3 years of professional experience in a project coordination, analyst, or project support role
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field
General understanding of project management principles
Familiarity with physical security systems such as CCTV, video management systems, and access control
Basic understanding of:
IT and networking concepts (protocols, encryption, VPNs)
Low-voltage / electrical principles related to security systems
Engineering design lifecycle and/or SDLC
Strong skills in documentation, reporting, and presentation development (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to various locations
