POSITION SUMMARY

The mission of the Director of Events is to organize, oversee, and executive engaging and successful fundraising events as a part of an integrated resource development strategy designed by the Vice President of Development.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Leadership, Management, and Accountability: Provides day-to-day leadership of the Events team and manages multi-regional events.
  • Develop Event Strategy: Develops strategy for special events that align with the organizational objectives and can be replicated.
  • Lead Regional Implementation of Events: Leads regional partners in the decision-making processes in each event.
  • Execute Events: Ensures that events are implemented effectively and achieve organizational goals across all regions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or experience equivalency in event coordination required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven management and execution of engaging and effective special events required
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Google Suites required
  • Experience with the implementation of databases preferred
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects

Employees receive 17 days of PTO in their first year, an additional five days on their first anniversary, and every five years after that. PTO days in your first year of employment may be prorated based on which month you begin.

We value talented employees and want them on staff for a long time. After five years of service, MA gives full-time employees 30 consecutive days off along with a stipend to reflect, get some development, and be spiritually rejuvenated to continue in ministry.
