Job Overview:

Flora Couture, a premier floral and event design company, is seeking a responsible and reliable Delivery Driver with strong event support skills. The role involves ensuring the safe and timely delivery of floral arrangements and decor to clients, as well as assisting with event setup and breakdown ("strike"). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, and has a passion for providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Floral and Decor Deliveries :
  • Safely transport floral arrangements, event decor, and other products to venues, homes, and businesses.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of items while maintaining the highest level of care to prevent damage.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure deliveries meet their expectations.

• Assist in setting up floral arrangements, decor, and event design elements at various venues.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure proper placement and overall aesthetic presentation.
• Support last-minute adjustments to decor or event setups as required by the event lead or client.

• Event Setup and Support :
• Strike (Event Breakdown) :
  • Assist with the breakdown and packing of decor and florals post-event.
  • Ensure proper handling of all items to prevent damage during the dismantling process.
  • Return materials, equipment, and rentals to the designated location.
• Vehicle Maintenance :
  • Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean and in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols for transporting goods, including securing items properly to prevent movement and damage.
• Client Relations :
  • Exhibit professionalism and excellent customer service when interacting with clients at all times.
  • Address any delivery or event-related concerns promptly and escalate to management, as necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License : Clean driving record with a valid license and ability to operate a van or light truck.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to lift and transport heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Event Experience : Experience in the floral/event industry or related fields is a plus. But not necessary.
• Flexibility : Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Detail-Oriented : Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling delicate floral arrangements and decor.
• Punctuality : Timely and reliable with a strong work ethic.

Additional Skills:

• Basic knowledge of floral care and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
