Metrics LLC is preparing a proposal to support the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in the Arts, Health, and Civic Infrastructure (AHCI) initiative. We are seeking a highly qualified Federal Arts and Culture Policy Director to lead this effort, which aims to explore and promote how art and culture can improve the lives and well-being of individuals and communities. This role involves developing and facilitating the Interagency Working Group on Arts, Health, and Civic Infrastructure (IWG-AHCI), identifying key funding opportunities, and promoting effective practices across federal government programs. Experience working with federal policy and a deep understanding of the intersection between arts and public policy is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and manage comprehensive work plans, timelines, and deliverables for the AHCI initiative, ensuring that all project goals and milestones are achieved within the set timeframe.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Plan and facilitate remote meetings with diverse stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and consensus-building.
  • Research Support: Conduct detailed research on large-scale public programs, particularly in the arts, health, and civic infrastructure sectors. Prepare landscape analyses, transcribe interviews, and develop clear, accessible research reports.
  • Public Communications: Manage and create content for social media, e-newsletters, websites, and webinars, effectively communicating program initiatives to diverse stakeholders, including the general public.
  • Logistical Support: Coordinate logistics for program initiatives, including scheduling, resource allocation, and event planning.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide expert support using tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, videoconferencing software, and statistical software.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate degree in a relevant field such as arts, urban planning, public policy, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in project management, particularly within the federal policy framework, and with a focus on the arts, health, or civic infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to manage large-scale, national initiatives.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management capabilities, including exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in facilitating remote meetings and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Expertise in synthesizing complex information into accessible formats for broad audiences.
    • Experience in public communications strategies, including managing social media, publications, and webinars.
    • Technical proficiency with relevant software tools.

Benefits:

At Metrics LLC, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays. We also provide a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.

If you are a highly motivated individual with a desire to make a measurable impact, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration.
