Position: Senior Account Manager- Account Director of Corporate Communications
Reports to: LA-based Partner & President, DDA Board
Position Summary:
A confident, highly organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who is comfortable and well-versed in liaising with clients, talent, talent reps, producers/filmmakers and media. PR pro who is strategic, creative, and passionate about exceeding client expectations. A strong leader and self-starter, who can direct accounts from the ground up, and provide overall tactical and organizational guidance through material development, status reports, timelines, oversight on clippings, etc.
Able to lead clients, the team, and projects in terms of day-to-day activities, and develop and execute strategy in maintaining year-round retained corporate clients. Required to draft and service press releases, media materials, messaging points, presentations, new client proposals, and other documents as needed.
Responsibilities include:
· Determine client expectations and develop strategies based on their input and goals.
· Establish overall positioning across DDA’s corporate clients.
· Provide on-going strategic counsel, responsible for project outcomes and managing employee work across numerous accounts.
· Able to lead on high profile / larger campaigns simultaneously & run them independently, liaising with major clients without supervision
· Recognise where workload could be more effectively divided and flag with the team’s director
· Problem-solve major campaign issues independently and discuss potential solutions directly with the client
· Draft and review all press releases ensuring on-point communications, including working through approval processes and servicing to trades and wider outlets.
· Field inquiries and pursue coverage in the trades and consumer press.
· Build and maintain close trade and press relationships, ensuring that DDA clients are continually top of mind.
· Respond to new client directives and expectations.
· Ensure that all responses to journalists and media inquiries are on point.
· Anticipate industry changes and develop creative solutions.
· Refine new business pitches and lead presentations and proposals for large account opportunities.
· Present strategy and executional plan to clients.
· Define fees and scope of work with clients.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· 5-7 years of experience in Corporate PR.
· Experience in film is a must – TV and tech are a plus, in addition to film and festival campaigns and strategy.
· Proven leadership and strategic experience working in PR in the Film, TV and Entertainment sector, with strong experience of client and team management
· Exceptional relationship building skills, with a focus on relationships with clients, senior management and significant stakeholders
· Experience of major TV and/or film festivals
· Established relationships with the trades.
· Success in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
· Eagerness and willingness to learn.
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
· Willingness to travel.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet research.
