Job Description

Title:  Food Regulatory Affairs Analyst

Location:  Baltimore, MD - Hybrid 2-3 days a week on-site

Schedule:  M-F 8am-5pm

Type: 6-month contract extendable with a potential for hire

Pay : $20-25 per hour

Start date:  Immediate

Responsibilities:

  • Create, verify, maintain, and deliver regulatory information to customers and partners.
  • Support commercialization and data management to ensure accurate regulatory product information.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and procedure development.
  • Train team members in processes or areas of expertise.
  • Collaborate with the regulatory team to prepare and maintain SDS and labels for food products, adhering to GHS.
  • Enter and manage data in SAP, ensuring compliance with FDA/USDA regulations, and populate a proprietary database.
  • Provide regulatory consultation to internal and external customers.
  • Create nutrition sheets for industrial customers, with expertise in certifications and various regulatory documents (e.g., GMO statements, SDS, Nutrition Facts Panels, Allergen Sheets, etc.).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
  • Experience in Regulatory Affairs or related functions preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Flavor Industry and general practices preferred.
  • Experience with DevEx and SAP preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.
  • Critical thinking skills for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
