Summary
Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Assuring equipment is operated and maintained to standards that will provide a safe and effective work environment.
- Responsible for servicing and operation of ATV's, Boats, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Responsible for servicing and cleaning aerial lift.
- Responsible for operation of tire machine and balancer.
- Cuts grass and trims weeds on organization's property.
- Cleans internal areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Installs aftermarket products.
- Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup/weekly trips to the landfill.
- Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Maintains and repairs buildings.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, street sweeper, and riding mower.
- Checks and fills forklift propane tanks at the end of each day and maintains daily inspection log.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
- Clean and repair work bicycles.
- Responsible for crushing cardboard daily.
- Responsible for maintaining company's recycling.
- Responsible for the backup duties of the Custodian as needed when absent.
- Implements improvements.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Entry level computer skills are necessary to perform this job successfully; including the ability to learn Microsoft Outlook and email.
