Strong leadership experience: The Product Owner is not a manager, but still a clear leader on the technical team. The ideal candidate will have career experience in which they were relied on, are comfortable with vulnerability, and aided in creating a space of psychological safety for the entire team. This role requires strong empathy. Development experience is required: Previous experience as a software developer or database developer or cloud engineer, etc. The customers of the DFT team are technical people, so the DFT Product Owner must speak their language and understand disciplines of architecture, testing, etc. Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps for backlog management is a big plus. Excellent written and oral communication, skilled at gleaning vital facts from the noise. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills: Experience and ability to discern true business problems through conversations. bility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
