Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Garden Place Lead Small Engine Tech is to provide

excellent customer service, to process Stihl equipment repairs, chain

sharpening, and tool sharpening in a timely and professional manner.


Major Responsibilities Include:

Ensure customers are receiving the best customer service.

Maintain a safe, organized and clean shop.

Report directly to the manager about any safety concerns, customer service issues and personnel

issues.


Responsible for getting repairs done in a professional, efficient

and timely manner.

Responsible for letting a manager know if unable to complete

workload or if in need of additional help.


Responsible for completing and following up on all necessary

paperwork.

Ensure all Stihl paperwork for each tool sold is completed and

on-line warranty is submitted.


Contact customers about machines or any issues

Keep up with current Stihl training and new products.


Prepare for upcoming seasons and order Stihl equipment accordingly.

Coordinate with the Garden Place Front End Lead to make sure orders are processed, front end is clean, parts

cabinets are clean organized and stocked.

Work with inventory coordinator to ensure everything is counted correctly, which entails keeping

everything organized and knowing where all items are located or exactly where

to find them to make the counting process efficient.


Cashiering Duties

Minimum

Requirements Include:

A commitment to service, excellence and customer service

Ability to communicate with mechanics, associates and customers

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours

Minimum Requirements Include:

Must be or get Stihl certified.


Knowledge of Stihl repairs, chain sharpening and tool sharpening.


Ability to stand for long periods of time.


Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings,

weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.


Able to tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers.


Physical Requirements Include :


Ability to stand for extended periods of time.


Ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth.

Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
