Job Summary:

Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from the Davis warehouse to their appropriate destinations. Class C Drivers transport materials using a box truck and may have to occasionally unload using a liftgate and/or pallet jack. This position serves as the public face of the company and strives to provide customers with world-class service in a professional manner. Drivers are committed to following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure the security of cargo.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform pickups and deliveries as assigned
• Comply with all road laws and safety regulations
• Follow specific handling instructions
• Plan or adjust route according to changing conditions
• Inspect vehicle regularly to ensure proper functioning of all equipment
• Notify dispatch team of any discrepancies, issues, or delays
• Keep track of all assigned jobs through the Crown app
• Obtain proofs of pickup or delivery and upload them to Crown app
• Turn in all hard copy PODs to dispatch team by end of day
• Load and unload freight by hand with lift-gate/ pallet jack use- Forklift use not allowed in box trucks

Schedule:

• AM Shift (potential start times: 9, 10, 11AM)
• Flexible availability Monday to Sunday, 40 – 60 hours per week/ depending on volumes and coverage
• Servicing 40-60 mile radius from base – NO OTR or cross state lines – Be home every night!

Pay Starting At: $18-$21/ hour, depending on experience (Overtime Pay offered after 40 hrs/week)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• Commercial driving experience (1 year)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting on a truck
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
