Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Clean up all inventory and /or customer vehicles using dealership procedures and ensuring that the vehicles meet dealership standards for presentation to the customer.
• Provide support to the Make Ready Department.
• Maintain a clean facility including and surrounding the shop area.
• Utilizing dealership procedures, clean vehicles, including both the exterior and the interior. This includes washing and polishing the exterior and vacuuming interior and cleaning all vehicle glass.
• Perform final inspection of vehicles, prior to moving the vehicle to the designated storage area to insure that the vehicle meets dealership standards for presentation.
• Provide routine maintenance of property as scheduled. Includes sweeping or scrubbing the drive and shop areas.
• Safely deliver customer vehicles from storage area as directed.
• Pick up requested parts/materials needed.
• Fuel vehicles as directed.
• Know, understand and follow federal, state and local regulations governing an automobile body shop; such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.

Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• 1 year prior experience with washing, drying and polishing automobiles; including familiarity with the cleaning of clear coat, new paint and automobile glass, is preferred.
• Ability to perform duties regardless of vehicle size or work area utilizing recommended dealership procedures and equipment.
• Customer oriented, polite and courteous manner, cooperative attitude.
• Able to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
• Ability to retrieve, load and deliver items of various sizes and weights (up to 125 lbs.) in operable and undamaged condition.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate and understand English and Spanish; including reading and writing.
• Maintain a valid driver's license, ability to drive a variety of vehicle types, insurable.

WORKING CONDITIONS - Employee will perform physically demanding work throughout his or her shift. He or she will stand six to eight hours per day, may lift equipment and parts weighing from 10 lbs to 125 lbs. He or she may be exposed to dust, fumes and a variety of hazardous and nonhazardous materials. The driving of vehicles, in all weather conditions is required. Evening, holiday and weekend work hours may be required.
