We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager – Renewable Natural Gas Engineering to be responsible for overseeing the Engineering function of Suburban Propane’s portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production facilities.

 

In this position you will work closely with Suburban’s Operations and Construction staff as well as external engineering firms to create new facilities; and manage, oversee, and implement ongoing production improvements at operating facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with outside engineering firms, technology providers, and equipment vendors to develop and design new RNG production facilities.
  • Works closely with the Suburban RNG Operations Manager and Plant Operators to improve operating facilities to ensure safety, improve efficiency and increase RNG production.
  • Aid in the development of the short-term and long-term planning, budgeting, coordination, and control of the Company’s RNG portfolio.
  • Support the evaluation and development of new RNG projects.
  • Coordinate and liaise with strategic partners, partner service contracts, and Suburban Renewable Energy.
  • Manage Engineering contractors and consultants and work closely with the Operations and Construction Manager to lead projects from conception to completion.
  • Complete reports and special projects for Senior Management as requested.
  • Works closely with the Suburban RNG Compliance Department on data collection and management to ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting.

$106,500 - $135,000 Annually (dependent on experience)

Qualifications:
  • College degree with Professional Engineer License required
  • Minimum of 10 years of Professional Engineering experience required
  • Experience in Renewable Natural Gas engineering required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to work independently and must have strong analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills along with the ability to collaborate and thrive cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of state low carbon fuel standards and federal renewable standard strongly preferred
  • Natural gas scheduling knowledge preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, Outlook
