Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is recruiting for Mechanical Designers to fill several immediate openings with a customer located in Georgetown, KY.
Job Description
Creating 3D assemblies, parts drawings and Bills of Material for the design/build/manufacturing of tooling, weld cells, automated equipment and complex machinery for industrial applications. CAD software is SolidWorks, with some exposure to CATIA.
The ideal candidate is a design engineer with a strong mechanical aptitude that enjoys working around machines and has a “can do, get it done” attitude. It is an excellent, team-oriented environment where designers will routinely interact with assemblers and manufacturing personnel and will have the opportunity to do some “hands on” work in addition to their design responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
· 0 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design (entry-level to mid/senior level designers)
· Experience and/or knowledge of machine/automation/fixture design (for mid/senior level designers)
· Strong mechanical aptitude (enjoys working with machines and mechanisms)
· Proficiency in SolidWorks (any knowledge or experience with CATIA would be a plus)
· Entry-level candidates should have a good mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
