Join Our Team at Smart Thinkers LLC!

Smart Thinkers LLC is a growing tutoring company committed to helping every student succeed. We offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring for students in Pre-K through 8th grade.

We are currently seeking an experienced teacher or tutor who is passionate about education and looking for a part-time opportunity.
Position Details:

• Hours: Monday–Friday, between 4:00–7:00 PM

• Weekly Commitment: Up to 10 hours (or less)

• Location: In-person (at a local library located in 77089) and virtual (must be comfortable with both)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in reading, math, and/or Spanish for students in Pre-K through 8th grade
• Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Track and communicate student progress with parents and/or the program director
• Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment
• Arrive on time and prepared for each tutoring session
• Collaborate with the Smart Thinkers team to ensure consistency and high-quality instruction

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Classroom management and behavior redirection techniques
• Ability to differentiate instruction based on student learning styles and needs
• Familiarity with online learning platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (required)
• Minimum of 1 year teaching or tutoring experience (preferred)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation for in-person sessions
• Availability to work consistent weekday afternoon hours
