Job Description:

Soliant is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team near Camden, WV, for the 2024-2025 school year. We have multiple openings available, providing a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of middle school students with diverse learning needs. This position offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Position Details:

• Caseload: 20-30 middle school students
• Student Population: Mix of Learning Disabilities (LD), Emotional Disturbances (ED), Intellectual Disabilities (ID), and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
• Classroom Setting: Primarily co-taught classrooms, with some resource room involvement

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs and learning goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-teach and support inclusive classroom environments.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support students with LD, ED, ID, and Autism.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• municate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid West Virginia Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Experience working with middle school students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and munication skills.
• Ability to create and implement effective IEPs.
• Passion for working with students with special needs and a mitment to their success.
