Summary:
The Rehabilitation Services Department at the Center for Rehabilitation Care is accepting applications for an Outpatient PRN Occupational Therapist. This position involves delivering therapy services across various diagnoses, including long covid, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord, Parkinson's disease, muscular dystrophy, EDS, multiple sclerosis, and more. Candidates should possess strong time management, self-initiation, communication, and organizational skills. Preferably, candidates will have clinical experience in an outpatient setting and working within interdisciplinary clinics as well as complex diagnoses.
Preferred qualifications: Outpatient or inpatient Rehab experience. Experience with interdisciplinary clinics is highly preferred. This position will include Saturday coverage.
Responsibilities:
1. Selects and performs appropriate Occupational Therapy (OT) evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Sets treatment goals and devises a treatment plan. Re-evaluates and adjusts the OT treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
2. Manages resources needed to perform OT treatment plan to accomplish goals set for the patient.
3. Completes OT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and completes department records for billing and statistics.
4. Manages OT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
5. Provides clinical supervision and teaching for OT students or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provides regular feedback and coaching. Evaluates the learner's performance.
6. Plans and coordinates clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations and reimbursement. Provides regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding OT programs and patients served.

Education Requirements:
● Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● No prior experience required.
