Position Summary :

The Pattern Maker manages the process of developing a product or enhancing existing products in order to meet customer expectations effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborates with the Product Development Coordinator to understand and interpret product concepts.
• Develops poly, cushions, and cutting patterns with precision and efficiency.
• Makes and maintains product specifications for each new style.
• Works with outside vendors to coordinate product materials for new styles and one-time customs.
• Conducts thorough quality assessment at each stage of the development process to ensure adherence to design standards and specifications.
• Stays abreast of industry trends, materials, and techniques to continually enhance product quality and innovation.

Experience/Certifications/Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in high end furniture upholstery including furniture manufacturing

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills :

• Must be able to work thoughtfully and thoroughly with continuous attention to detail
• Must be able to apply printed matching of fabric to the frame.
• The ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend for up to eight hours or more daily

• Ability to learn quickly and retain a wide range of small details concerning multiple product types, tasks, system processes, issues, and/or projects

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Comfortable multi-tasking, or, pivoting between tasks as the need arises

• Willingness to learn new products, procedures, and processes as business needs change

• A friendly attitude with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and be a team player and stay self-motivated in a fast-paced environment
