Job Description:
Manage On-Premises Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform infrastructure, including provisioning, managing, and deploying containerized applications.
Create, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, ensuring high availability of the cluster.
Administer Red Hat OpenShift services (Operators, OpenShift Data Foundation, Pipelines, Image Registry, OpenShift Serverless, Routes, S3 Compatible Storage).
Set up authentication methods (LDAP), define roles and permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and manage user accounts.
Configure networking within the cluster, including service definitions and networking policies.
Manage OpenShift Container Storage (OCS)/OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads, including persistent storage setup.
Perform version upgrades and optimize cluster performance.
Manage On-Premises Elasticsearch clusters (deployment, configuration, index management, snapshot/restore, cluster upgrades).
Build and administer Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform.
Develop and maintain CI/CD systems using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.
Perform Jenkins installation, upgrades, RBAC, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines management.
Administer PostgreSQL database (installation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring).
Install, configure, and manage monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus) and push container logs to Elasticsearch using FluentD/FluentBit.
Write Helm Charts, Kubernetes manifest files, and Docker files.
Utilize scripting languages (Bash, Python) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform).
Evaluate the platform for security improvements and observability, developing proofs-of-concept.
Required Skills:
Technologies: Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, GitLab, Kafka.
Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator are a plus.
