Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Behavioral Health Mental Health Unit, where they will provide specialized care to patients experiencing mental health challenges. RNs will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of military and civilian healthcare professionals to deliver timely and individualized interventions, ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, monitoring patients’ mental and emotional well-being, managing complex psychiatric conditions, and implementing protocols to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all individuals in our care. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, conducting thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of emotional and psychological well-being. 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of military and civilian healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to the needs of each patient. 
  • Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols to ensure a secure and supportive environment for both patients and staff. 
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress and any significant changes accurately and in real-time to facilitate timely interventions. 
  • Prepare, manage, and operate necessary medical equipment and supplies relevant to mental health treatment and interventions. 
  • Actively support the healthcare team during critical situations by anticipating needs and providing prompt assistance. 
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, recovery expectations, coping strategies, and resources for ongoing support and care. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with institutional policies, mental health regulations, and best practices. 
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations to promote high-quality patient care.

Qualifications



Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Must have a valid unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory. 
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification. 
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in specialty in the last 3-5 years. 

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or prior experience in a military or government healthcare facility is strongly preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
  • May be exposed to contagious diseases, radiation, and high-stress environments.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate. 
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance. 

Additional Information



Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. 

Compensation: Min: $30hr Max: $55hr
