Department/Unit Summary
PCU is a 42-bed unit. Registered Nurses provide direct day-to-day care of patients and families. Practices to the fullest extent of their license in accordance with organizational policies. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, functions as a member of the Patient Focused Care Team in collaboration and implementation of the established patients plan of care. Participates with the Nurse Manager in continuous performance improvement. Provides care specific to ages and developmental needs of adult and geriatric patients. Management of acute cardiac care patients and invasive lines including carotid & femoral surgeries appropriate interventions, therapies and expected outcomes. Registered Nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A and 7P).

Qualifications: Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
· Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
· ACLS Certification
· One year acute cardiovascular care experience or other comparable nursing experience
· ASLS certification preferred
