Project Manager - Renewable Energy

Calstate Energy Inc, a leading renewable energy company in California, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. We specialize in utility-scale solar projects and are at the forefront of driving the transition to clean, sustainable energy solutions across the state.

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee our large-scale solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of utility-scale solar projects
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and external partners
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
• Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and manage performance
• Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with relevant California regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients
• Mentor junior project team members and contribute to the overall growth of the project management office

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least five years in renewable energy or related industries
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• PMP certification or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale energy projects, preferably solar or other renewables
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Excellent understanding of Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Construction (EPLC) processes
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Superior leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• In-depth knowledge of California energy regulations and sustainability practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with utility-scale solar projects in California
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector
• Experience with agile project management methodologies
