Security Escort

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Schedule (FT/PT): Regular Full Time

Travel Required: No

Clearance: Ability to Obtain a DOE Q Clearance

POSITION PURPOSE:

North Wind Federal Services is seeking vigilant and reliable Security Escorts to supervise uncleared personnel within a secure federal facility. This role requires adherence to strict access control procedures and real-time coordination with security staff to ensure mission integrity and facility safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Escort uncleared personnel at all times; maintain unobstructed visual control.
• Supervise entry/exit points per security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures; stop work for violations.
• Support short-notice escort requests and mission-critical assignments.
• Report schedule deviations or personnel absences to the project lead promptly.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED
• Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with government security procedures and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environments. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to respond to dynamic security needs. Flexible with scheduling and capable of working independently or in teams.
• Special Requirements: Eligibility for DOE Q Clearance and SCI Access; polygraph may be required. May include short-notice or intermittent assignments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a security or protective services role strongly preferred. DoD Top Secret clearance or DOE Q clearance preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work performed on-site in a secure government facility, often in or around SCIFs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Requires standing and moving for extended periods and constant situational awareness.
