Security Officer Mobile Patrol – Now Hiring! Shift: - Saturday / Sunday 3:00pm - 11:00pm (nights)
- Monday / Tuesday 11:00pm - 7:00am (overnights)
Starting Compensation: $17.64 / hour with a 6 month increase to $18.14 / Hour

About the job:
- Provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and clients as needed. This includes helping with directions, answering questions, and providing a visible security presence that reassures people.
- Access control responsibilities including verifying the identity of employees, visitors, and contractors, and ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the building.
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents, including writing incident reports that document any unusual occurrences, security breaches, or suspicious activities.
- monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Handle disputes or conflicts that may arise within the premises professionally and diplomatically, and escalate situations to higher authorities when necessary.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both inside and outside the building, to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety and security of the company's assets and personnel.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and departments within the company to maintain a cohesive security strategy
- Stay informed about security threats and trends, and participate in ongoing training to maintain and improve security skills.
- Enforce the company's security policies and procedures, including verifying the identification of individuals, ensuring compliance with access control protocols, and performing security checks as required.
- Ensure that security equipment, such as alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems, are properly maintained and report any malfunctions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your background:
- You have a high school education or equivalent (GED).
- You’re able to pass an extensive screening process.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa state security license (GardaWorld will pay for and help to obtain if needed during the hiring process).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Customer service skills/experience is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Must be physically capable of walking long distances and stair climbing.
- Must be capable of working outside in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
