Senior People Business Partner who understands how to align HR strategies with business goals, foster a positive work culture, and drive organizational effectiveness through impactful HR programs. About the Role: As a People Business Partner, you will be a key player in our HR team, ensuring that our HR strategies are aligned with our business goals. You will:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and provide strategic HR support.
- Drive initiatives related to talent management, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, employee development, and organizational change.
- Analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Work closely with the broader HR team to implement company-wide HR initiatives and projects
Requirements for the Role: Working at Novo means being part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Given all the rapid changes and occasional chaos, we need someone who can pivot quickly, and thrive under pressure while bringing creative solutions to the table.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR management systems. Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations. Experience with compensation and benefits design, talent management, and data analysis.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably with experience as a business partner in a high growth startup.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
How We Define Success: - Performance Management: Partnering with the business to implement a sustainable approach to performance management. Employees and managers should have a clear understanding of what a successful performance management cycle looks like, enabling a culture of transparency, continuous feedback, and development. This also means periodically revisiting and defining success & standards of performance at Novo based on the required business outcomes.
- Employee Engagement: High levels of employee satisfaction and engagement, demonstrated through employee feedback and engagement surveys. This includes high engagement with leaders too, ensuring they see you as a trusted advisor who is accessible, supportive, and actively involved in creating high performing teams.
- Talent Retention: Effective retention strategies that reduce turnover rates and ensure we retain top talent.
- Strategic Impact: HR initiatives that measurably contribute to business performance and operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensuring all HR activities are compliant with relevant labor laws and internal policies.
Nice To Have, but Not Required:
- Experience with HR data analytics tools.
- Prior experience in change management or organizational development.
- Knowledge of advanced compensation strategies.
Salary Range (NYC): 180-210K annualized salary. This range is not inclusive of discretionary bonus or equity package, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. The range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of New York City.
