What's the Role?

As a ServiceNow developer, we will be developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform including custom applications, integrations, and workflows. Responsibilities will include designing and configuring ServiceNow modules, creating and maintaining new and existing code within the platform, and developing and customizing applications, business rules, and client scripts. This position will require strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of ITSM principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work to automate and improve the developer experience for our engineers
  • Proficiency in DevOps and Agile principles
  • Apply engineering standard methodologies to analyze and develop software solutions
  • Leverages established coding standards, best practices, and automation capabilities to develop solutions to support our users
  • Identify technical problems and develop software solutions and/or automation capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years professional ServiceNow experience.
  • AWS or Docker or Kubernetes Certification Preferred
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Services (AWS Certified Preferred), and containerized applications and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes – CKA Preferred)
  • Experience with monitoring and performance management/tuning of systems
  • Experience with networking, Linux based platforms, and modern Javascript
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience working with DevOps, CICD, GitOps, Agile methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver who enjoys learning on the job and thinking outside of the box

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$75,180.00

Pay Range - End:

$139,620.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
