About the Position

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking a Skid-Steer/Water Truck Operator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate skid-steer loaders and water truck at the direction of the Operations Supervisor.
  • Safely directs truck traffic during unloading and loading operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on the skid-steer and attachments to ensure proper functionality.
  • Performing daily cleaning, upkeep and safety checks of the equipment pre and post operation to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors.
  • Support additional labor tasks as required, contributing to overall project completion.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.

What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group?

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in heavy equipment operation preferred. 
  • Previous experience operating skid-steer loaders or similar equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. 
  • Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions. 
  • Capacity to operate heavy machinery for extended periods.
