A well-known accounting firm in Downtown Santa Barbara, CA is looking for two Sr. Tax Accountants to join their team! The ideal candidate will have advanced experience reviewing tax returns and leading accounting teams.

Pay: $78K-$95K
Location: Company based out of Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Position offers on-site, hybrid, or fully remote flexibility.

Job Duties:
-Prepares tax returns of increasing complexity
-Estimates tax for individuals and corporations
-Collects data from clients as part of the return preparation process
-Researches tax issues of increased complexity
-Responds to moderately complex IRS notices
-Begins to identify tax planning ideas and shares ideas with management; may prepare written client communication stating recommendations
-Familiar with IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries and Enrolled Agents Before the IRS and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct

Qualifications:
-B.A./B.S. in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Accounting Certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience in the industry
-2-5 years of experience with an accounting firm, at least 1 year of experience in compliance work (complex returns, basic consolidated tax return, complex 1040’s)
-Desired software experience: CCH ProSystem or Access
