Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a motivated Technical Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!

Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IT and trading system enhancements.
• Work closely with stakeholders across different parts of the business, including front office, operations, and technical teams, to ensure alignment of business and system needs.
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system changes and enhancements.
• Support the full data flow between trading platforms and upstream/downstream systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Draft clear and comprehensive specification documents to guide technical teams.
• Write and execute SQL queries to analyze, extract, and manipulate data for reporting and decision-making.
• Provide day-to-day support for trading platforms, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, Major in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, is preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities, including the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write basic queries.
• Skills in Python, Jira, and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau are a huge bonus.
• Basic understanding of financial instruments, particularly interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange, or fixed income, are also a huge bonus
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Prior internship or work experience in financial services, IT, or a similar field is a plus.
