Overview

Technical Recruiter role at Whatnot. Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe. We are building the future of online marketplaces with a remote, globally distributed team and hubs in the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, and Germany. We are seeking a proactive recruiter to identify and hire top technical talent across engineering teams.

Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Identify strong technical candidates by engaging with hiring managers and proactively reaching out to potential candidates.
  • Find or create new sources of talent and innovate sourcing strategies beyond traditional channels.
  • Screen candidates to distill top-of-funnel talent and enable the hiring team to focus on interviewing the best candidates.
  • Manage multiple roles simultaneously and work across multiple pipelines (5-10+ roles as needed).
  • Assist with developing job posts, hiring plans, and screening rubrics; collaborate with hiring managers to streamline the hiring process.
  • Iterate on candidate feedback to improve the recruiting process and candidate experience.
  • Cultivate relationships with individuals and groups to build a broader talent network.
  • Emphasize diversity and inclusive hiring practices to bring diverse points of view to the team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth startups, specifically supporting engineering teams.
  • Experience evaluating candidates for a range of technical roles (software engineering, security, infrastructure) and ability to manage end-to-end recruitment.
  • Strong partnership with hiring managers, providing guidance throughout the recruitment process.
  • Passion for sourcing, building relationships with passive talent, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and be data-driven in pipeline management.
  • Commitment to diversity hiring and inclusive interview practices.

Role location: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle hubs preferred for commutable candidates.
