$27.90/hr. + $1.50 Shift Premium starting - increases every 6 months to maximum of $35.00/hour within three years. I. General Summary: Support the manufacturing areas (Stamping & Injection Mold) with plant focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity and maintaining the overall Toyota Production System as well as company policies/procedures. Program/ Set up/ operate CNC machines to improve dies/ fixtures /molds and equipment preventative maintenance.
II. Essential Job Functions: A. Support tool room activities on all production equipment, facilities.
B. Make components for the repairs and improvements on stamping dies/ fixtures /molds
C. Set up, program, & run CNC and manual machines in the tool room to produce the needed components.
D. Use MasterCam / Solid Works / AutoCAD daily to draw/ modify/program room to produce the needed components.
E. Machine uptime/downtime management.
F. Heat treat new details to the required specs on the new details.
G. Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
H. Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
I. Document completion of all required processes in Asset Essentials system.
J. Working with tooling die repair tech to ensure new details are installed properly.
K. Reading technical drawings / blue prints.
L. Using measuring tools and gages.
M. Work with the Engineering department to improve processes.
N. Other duties as assigned.
III. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements :
Education: • High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
• Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience: • 2-5 years Tooling, Machining experience required.
• 2-5 years' experience with CAD, CNC programming required.
• Experience drawing & programming with MasterCam preferred.
• CNC, Machine shop, and Kaizen experience a preferred.
• Stamping die repair experience a plus.
• TIG/MIG Welding and fabrication a plus.
• Experience using an overhead crane a plus.
Personal/Technical Skills: • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Flexibility in a changing working environment.
• Mandatory overtime flexibility.
Language Skills: • English, both written and verbal.
Computer/Software: • Basic Microsoft Office applications.
• MasterCam / Solid Works / AutoCAD or other programming software
IV. Work Environment/Conditions :
Plant: Automotive manufacturing plant
Travel: 0-10%
V. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
