TheMillennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza ( looking for a temporary Tournant to join our team!

Our 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We're within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center. Take in unobstructed views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Our historic Ambassador Grill and iconic lobby are both official New York City Interior Landmarks.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a line cook in a hotel setting or standalone restaurant and full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Pattern: Full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range: $32.12 - $42.83 / hour

What will I be doing?

As a Tournant, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assists Executive Chef in overall responsibility for activities of cooks and other personnel involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with quality standards, productivity standards, cost controls, and forecast needs.
• Monitors team performance, product quality and production flow. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff.
