PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Transcriptionist to join our remote team. The Transcriptionist will be responsible for converting audio recordings of medical consultations, interviews, and other healthcare-related conversations into written documents. This role requires a high level of accuracy, excellent listening skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. The ideal candidate will help ensure accurate and timely documentation for healthcare professionals, contributing to the smooth operation of our medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately transcribe audio recordings into clear, written documents in a timely manner.
• Edit and proofread transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
• Use appropriate medical terminology and ensure that transcripts meet medical and legal standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the secure handling of all patient information.
• Format and organize transcribed documents in accordance with company and industry guidelines.
• Submit completed transcripts to relevant departments or individuals within the required timeframe.
• Respond to feedback and make any necessary corrections or revisions to transcripts.
• Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines.
• Stay updated with any changes in medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and transcription standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Transcriptionist, preferably in the medical field.
• Excellent listening, typing, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to accurately transcribe complex information.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• Proficiency in transcription software and tools, including word processing programs (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• A reliable internet connection and access to a quiet workspace.
• Certification in medical transcription is a plus, but not required.
